    Update to:
San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center, Inc. (SFVCMHC) is dedicated to improving the mental health of individuals and families within the Greater San Fernando Valley community.

This is achieved by providing effective and culturally sensitive therapeutic services based on each consumer’s individualized needs, strengths and choices. Our Center, founded in 1970, provides behavioral health services to 15,000 individuals and families of all ages and ethnicities. Fifty programs serving people of all ages provide assessment, intervention, therapeutic, rehabilitative, vocational, residential, and case management services. Effective, culturally-sensitive mental health and substance use services are provided based on each consumer’s individual needs, strengths and choices. Achieving this mission results in our vision of Moving Lives Forward. Our commitment to mental health has kept families together, protected individuals from abuse, placed the homeless in safe housing, and given hope to thousands of individuals that a better life is possible. When vulnerable and marginalized individuals and families are empowered to move their lives forward, self-sufficiency, opportunity, and well-being become realistic goals.
